The kids and I were discussing Kitty and his upcoming birthday last night, and I wondered aloud how old he was going to be on April 21, and Maria said he's 6. And I wondered again, how old is he going to be on his birthday, and Edward, my wise son, said from behind his laptop, "You just add one." This made me laugh so hard because he said it like I was really that stupid even though I was really just searching for clarification. Did Maria mean he was about 6 or actually 6 because when you're talking about a kitty, one never knows.
