So John & I went to our church's classis meeting where he was afraid I would let out a big vote YES from my mouth even though I'm not supposed to vote. They were having the classical review for Pastor Amy wherein she had to sit up on the stage and answer questions ranging from Bible knowledge to church order to situational ethics. She did an excellent job! The Christian Reformed Church has only recently allowed women to preach. It is up to each individual classis to decide, and she has been the first one allowed in our classis. The mostly older men kicked us out of the room while they voted. It was a short vote - she was approved and we were thankful.
