Don't worry, this is not going to be a regular feature. Yesterday, I just had a small urge to do this, so I set up the tripod. Do you like how the deck rail in back is in more in focus than me? lol! I've had greater urges to photograph the beautiful fall colors, but haven't gotten out much. Here are just a couple though:

that's a really nice self portrait. I try often but never get results that make me happy. I believe I am not photogenic at all.
I'm jealous of the fall color you have there. We still have green. Every one keeps showing the wonderful fall colors in their area and I'm getting anxious for it here. It finally turned cool this weekend so maybe the colors will begin to appear.
Your picture looks like it should be one of those author shots that goes on the back flap of the jacket. You're all set once you've written your first book (Christian living? Prayer? Marriage?).
