On one of my walks last week, I noticed that I was feeling rather blah since the leaves are mostly gone and we are being overtaken by the dull gray of the impending winter. I suppose that made these leaves that I found next stand out even more. It made me think of this*quote by my co-worker David, something he had said to himself.

those are the prettiest leaves. i understand this feeling - I always feel a bit sad as the leaves are all gone from the trees.
