Dogwood

dogwood

Here in Michigan, we're in that precious window of time when the dogwoods and other flowering trees are in bloom, and tomorrow we will be that last precious window of time when Edward runs the mile in a high school track meet. I'm enjoying every minute of it.

The flowering trees here in Ohio have been exceptional this year. Our landscaper said it was because we had so much moisture in the ground from last fall and then the snow acted as an insulator.

Dear Julia- sounds like you have a great attitude about Ed and his last track meet. Seriously - enjoy the moment - take a deep breath and remember what you're feeling that very second. I still remember Trey's very last game on the pitcher's mound - drinking in every last ounce I could. I made an effort to capture the moment and it has stuck with me ever since. Tell Ed good luck and I hope he breaks under 5 minutes!

I adore dogwoods. My undergrad alma mater campus was full of azaleas and dogwoods. The spring semester was full of beautiful blossoms for weeks. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Enjoy Edward's meet. Celebrate that milestone and enjoy your son!
