We have had warmer than usual temperatures lately - mid 30's this weekend. The dusting of snow on the ground will be gone as the day goes on. But a January without snow or sun leaves only gray. What a pity. Today then, I will show you some snow from about 50 years ago.
The Queen Mother with Uncle Alan

Jewels;
This photo of where the Queen Mother is standing reminds me of something that our children chuckled over for a long time. The kids used to shovel walks in the neighborhood. One blustery day school had a snow day so they thought they would get a jump start on the neighborhood. They rang Grandmother Judy's doorbell and apparently woke her. She raised a window from upstairs and called out, "I don't need my walks shoveled".
I wondered if this would bring back memories. It sounds like Oma Boyer - she probably wanted to do it herself!
That little girl has some serious glasses doesn't she? I laughed out loud after reading Donna's comment. I can just hear Oma!
Me too. And the girls with the glasses looks the same today but without glasses.
Awesome Showsuit!
I thought so too! I didn't know they had those back then.
snow... i've never seen and touched snow in real life... i hope it won't be too hot in your side of the world, julia. :)
