Yesterday, we moved Bridget into the dorms at Calvin!  First, we put all her shtuff in the car...


Then we moved everything up to her room with the help of some very friendly we-haul people. She unpacked and we got her bed made...

Moving Maria

A couple of weeks ago already, we helped Maria move into a house where she's living her senior year with 3 other girls.  I brought a load of stuff over with her during the day.  In the evening, John was enlisted to help move the bed she's using. We had to stop at Menard's to get more ties to hold down the mattress on top of her old Volvo and I'll never forget what John said, "Anything looks classy sitting on top of an old Volvo."  Very funny but a lot of people agree with that statement.


We made it safe and sound that evening with the bed in one piece and got her moved in.

Notre Dame Press Box

The Friday night before Ed's graduation, we had dinner up in the Notre Dame Press Box - part of the whole experience.  It was pretty cool and included great views of campus.

Love Thursday

This is the sign on the way out to the Notre Dame football field from the locker room.  Traditionally, the players all touch the sign on their way out to a game for good luck.

The Grotto

We went on a tour of the Notre Dame campus with Edward & his friends and their families.  We stopped for awhile at The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes which is one-seventh the size of the famed French shrine where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette on 18 occasions in 1858.  It was a significant place for some of the Irish Catholics with us and some lit candles.

The Dome was Really Gold That Day

Edward became really good friends with 5 guys from Ireland and another guy from GR among many others in the Master's in Engineering, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship.  We even got to know some of their families and friends from Ireland and GR and posed for this great photo opp in front of the gold dome.

One Bright, Sunny Day at Notre Dame

Edward graduated this past weekend from Notre Dame with a Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship. This is his profile. He will be moving to Seattle to be a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft.  So far away, but we're proud of him for sure. I love these photos of us in front of the Gold Dome!
