Happy Birthday, Bridget!

Bridget's birthday was this past Saturday which also happened to be the very first Konnigsdag. To celebrate, she had some friends come over for homemade macaroni and cheese and red velvet birthday cake!

Downtown Celebration

Such a cute little downtown of a cute little town. The wedding was in Celebration.

Little Harbor Resort

We stayed here on Tampa Bay for a few days after the wedding.  It had a long pier where John could go fishing.


It also had a nice hotel in front of a harbor.

We stopped to see our friends Skip & Gord on Anna Maria Island and I tried to capture photos of her favorite tree.


My Aunt Becky said it looked like an "ent".

Hunting for Manatees II

We were bound and determined to see so manatees so Bridget and I went kayaking among the mangrove swamp area near the condo.  We saw dolphins and cool birds, but no manatees. We still had a great time!

We stopped at the Manatee viewing center near Ruskin, FL before we could check in.


Bridget is excited.


She became a little "steamed" when there were no manatees!

Phew!

That was a busy few weeks!  After the wedding, we went to Tampa Bay and stayed in a condo at the Little Harbor Resort, came home and worked for a few days and then went to California for a week.  This past winter really needed 2 spring breaks to thaw out.  The building above is the hotel area and below is the beach area and pier.  It was a nice place, but unfortunately, it never got very warm for the rest of the week. We had a good and relaxing time with Bridget!
