Surfing USA

The surf was good at the OBX, a bit rough some time!  Andrea took the opportunity to rent a surfboard and hit the waves.














She had a good audience, too!

We went to the Outer Banks, North Carolina for our 9th and final time last week.  Edward and Maria couldn't go again and since it is getting more difficult for the older kids to go, we decided to maybe try something else next year.  The group was looking especially photogenic this year and we got some good ones!

Oh Little Flowers

We came home from our week in North Carolina to a very brown hanging plant of these little flowers.  The others did okay, but these didn't quite make it in the 90 plus degree heat.

Photo Finish

I took pictures this past Saturday for the Brian Diemer 5K Amerikam race which I wrote about last year.  There were over 1600 runners in the 5K and John placed 205th.  But, seeing so many runners and needing to focus on getting good shots (I took about 800 total during the morning festivities), I missed getting a pic of him. Here are a couple of my faves...

Run Eddie, Run...

Well, I thought that once Edward graduated and moved over to Germany for the summer, I would be done with the running posts.  Not so.  He ran in the Mittel-Rhein 10K this past weekend and we found some great photos of him online!


It made me happy to see them cheer him on!

Well, his final time was 36 min 46 sec for  the 10K.

A New Beginning

So last week one day, my friend Cathy asked me if I could come over to take some graduation pix before the ceremony.  This was for Ben, her oldest son and she thought it might be a difficult time.  Her parents were in town from Texas so it was a good time to meet her dad for the first time.



When it was time for Ben to leave for the ceremony, I made sure to get it all!
