ArtPrize 2011

It's that very exciting time of year again - the 3rd year that ArtPrize is taking place in Grand Rapids and the 3rd year that our church is a venue.  This year, I am entering a photographic piece called "Fleeting" and I spent about 10-12 hours this past Saturday installing it with the help of some friends and collaborators.  When I get a picture of it, I'll say more about it, but in the meantime, here are 3 exhibits in our venue that I did get so far:

Good-byes

Last week, in addition to working my last day at my old job, we said good-bye to our next door neighbor and "Eddie's" childhood friend Teddy.   I went over to take some photos especially for his mom before he left!

Happy Labor Day

John & I are laboring on Labor Day - painting Bridget's bedroom - but we did take time to celebrate his birthday this past weekend.  Edward & Maria joined us from Calvin for supper and cake Saturday night.
