Honors Convocation

Maria being congratulated for making the Dean's list every semester at Calvin College! She graduates in May.

Love Thursday: Good-bye Edward

We had about 3 hours with Edward on Tuesday evening before he and John left for Seattle where Ed will begin his new job at Microsoft.  We made the best of it and met the girls over at Calvin for a good-bye supper at Johnny's!


They packed Edward's car full and were in Fargo, ND for lunch the next day and spent that night in Billings, MT!

At the reception, the five friends wanted their picture together, of course.


It brought back memories of this time, just 2 years ago.  These girls will be living in a house together their senior year at Calvin, except for Emily who will be living with Simon, of course.

Last night I had a dream that I bought Maria and Bridget new sippy cups.  Then Bridget, in her baby voice, very sweetly said, "But nobody made the juice for January."  That made me really sad.

Psalm 145, Around the World

At Calvin College's Inauguration of their new president this past Saturday, we saw this video from students in Peru, Ghana, Hungary & Honduras.  Maria is in the green skirt on the left of the screen! God is good.  It reminds me of the video we have of her reciting Psalm 100 in 1st grade.
