A Year Ago

It's hard to believe last March 19 I was out taking this photo!  This year we are still looking at a big glacier in our front yard at the side of the road.

Nothing Gold Can Stay

This past Sunday, I took a long walk though the amazing colors of our fall and soaked it all in so I would be ready for the long dull gray-brown winter.

Anticipation

Just wow, as I look out my window every day, I remember how the leaves on our Japanese Maple are always the most brilliant red velvet-red in time for my birthday which is on Love Thursday this year!  It gets more red every day and I am so excited!!!  Red velvet was my favorite kind of cake that my grandma (Oma Boyer) used to make me for my birthday, so now it is always good that I have this to remember.

Baby Bird

Edward & I saw this baby bird in our front yard last night. When he wasn't there anymore today, John said (joking) I hope Leo enjoyed him. Ew! Maybe he just flew away! I think it's a baby cardinal...

Awesome Moments

So I did a photoshoot of 1 and 2 year old brothers this past weekend. Very fun, but they didn't want to sit still for anything! Although it was challenging and I didn't feel like I had gotten much, I did end up getting a lot of great shots...then the mom gave me the greatest compliment of all - she said she started to cry when she saw them! Made my day.

Calvin Roomies

Aaah!!!! Maria asked me to do a photoshoot Monday evening of her and her friend/Calvin roomie Abby. John had the brilliant idea to do it at the old Calvin campus on Franklin street.

I took a couple hundred. Wow, amazing fun! The above mosaic shows a few of them!

Here they are looking like good Calvin girls in front of the OLD Hekman library.
