I took a few photos at the Zijl Family reunion last Saturday and it was so fun to see them when I got home. You can see more here. If you would like any of them at a higher resolution, e-mail me and I can send it.
Your photos are outstanding. I tried to keep up with the family this week through the blog. I am sure "family" has a whole new meaning to the Bouman family. Wasn't it great to see your dad's home in Bedum and where your grandfather had his business? Seeing what your dad's family left when they came to America, I am sure you came back to Michigan with such a different attitude toward your Dutch heiritage. I think the trip was a trip of a lifetime!
Actually, John & I went a few years ago, so it wasn't a total shock, but it was great to meet so much of the family I had never met. I went with a determination to get many good photos and I took about 800.
Julia, these are outstanding pictures! I hope our Dutch cousins check them out. I think they would enjoy them. I can't wait to get my C.D. (hint-hint)
ReplyDeleteThanks Paula, I was happy with almost all the photos I took on our trip. How did yours come out?
